Hays Gardens

Knoxville, TN
New to Open Days

The Hays gardens, constructed and planted by Lane Hays and her late husband Charles Hays about 20 years ago, are located on the shores of Fort Loudon Lake. There are four distinct gardens: a formal rose garden that includes a large variety of roses, a white moon garden, a fenced cottage garden with a rose arbor and a variety of perennials, and a quarry woodland garden with a pool and waterfalls over natural marble formations. The waterfalls were designed and installed in 2014 by Mark Furhman, a local landscape designer. The setting on the lake is beautiful with an expansive lawn separating the various areas. Garden is partially accessible.
