Garden Masters: An Enchanted Afternoon at Camp Rosemary - SOLD OUT
Camp Rosemary
Sun, Aug 22, 2021
Spend an extraordinary Sunday afternoon in late summer in one of America’s most spectacular private gardens: Camp Rosemary. This expansive Lake Forest estate, designed by Rose Standish Nichols in the 1920s and later enhanced by other prominent landscape designers, includes an array of captivating garden rooms, a lush wooded ravine garden, and an exquisite pool house. Head gardener Marya Padour will lead visitors through this intensely and imaginatively cultivated oasis and the expert horticultural techniques used to make this garden shine. Ben Lenhardt, author of the recently published Gardens of the North Shore of Chicago (Monacelli Press, October 2020), will also comment on this exceptional garden, which is featured in the book. In addition to visual riches, guests will be lavished with attention, from valet parking to wine and hors d'oeuvres while exploring the garden.
Illinois and Lake Forest Covid-19 guidelines will be observed, including social distancing and wearing a face mask when not eating or drinking.
