Garden owner’s description: Hidden on a private lane, our garden has been the object of our affection for 30 years. A row of gingko trees flanks the street and driveway. The hemlock hedge on the north side of the front lawn survived woolly adelgid and now thrives. As you proceed up the driveway and through the white gates, there’s a peony bed framing the porch. The back lawn is divided into an upper terrace and a natural punch bowl below. A serpentine perennial bed, along with a 'Wintergreen' Ilex hedge, divides the two. A prized cutting garden of zinnias sits atop the stone wall. The tall evergreen border along the back of the property consists of Cryptomeria and Leyland cypress. Punctuating it all is a collection of period garden ornaments.
