All aboard! The OSP&C garden railway will be departing shortly. Garden losses caused by serious illness are finally behind us, with 2021 being the year that all targeted recoveries were made; we even snuck in some new additions. We think the garden has something to interest just about anyone. It starts with several roadside gardens and a welcoming topiary. If the railroad is your final destination, be sure to not miss the perennial beds, fairy garden, and goldfish pond in front of the house. Then proceed past the rose and vegetable gardens to the backyard, where there are more perennial beds. Pass into and through the pergola, keeping an eye out for the old men chiseled into the stone wall. Stop and visit the large goldfish pond; it should be easy to spot the fish, but the frogs are more difficult as they are masters of camouflage. Stop at the gazebo for a rest or go directly to the OSP&C by walking over the bridge or walking around the pond. We added a couple of small gardens to enhance the train shed and we've added a miniature circus. With the circus addition, we now run three trains simultaneously along with a trolley. Check out the various railroad scenes and let your imagination go wild. We only ask one thing from our guests: please enjoy yourself. (Please note: trains will not be operating in the event of rain and from noon to 1 p.m. to allow for battery recharging.)
